Marcus? Dom? ....I Miss You Guys!

I feel like it has been forever since I have played Gears. First, I lent it to a friend for a couple of weeks, then he returned it saying that it stops reading the disk at a certain point (I don't blame him for it, my lil bro doesn't take great care of things and it was technically his game). I was stuck with the busted copy until Scartissue9 was able to give me his friend's unwanted copy (along with the other games I mentioned a few days ago).

Why don't I play it then, you ask? ScarTissue9 and I promised each other we would do co-op together. Problem is, we can't seem to synch our schedules for this to work. He is busy most of the day/early evening, and I am usually busy at night (or just really tired).

*sigh* It will be worth waiting for though, I'd rather wait and play with him than play it now but play it alone (plus, we get more achievements that way). We just better get through it (on insane, I must insist) before Gears 2 comes out.

I find that when I play co-op, I get mean. I hurl insults and express my frustrations at my partner. This isn't your typical COD4-type trashtalking. No, this is when I play co-op, meaning whoever I am playing with and I are helping each other to reach the same goal. I don't mean anything by it, but I can't help it. You should have heard the mean things I said while playing Lego Batman with Scartissue9 Just a heads up to whoever might want to play co-op with me in the future. A little tip, instead of being put-off or angry at me for being like that, just throw it back at me, it's fun.

On to another topic

I like to go to my local library as often as I can, because in the front foyer area they have a bunch of books they are selling. They range from $.25 to $2.00 and a lot of times they are still in great (even new) condition. I was able to go yesterday and I came back with $4 worth of books, which was 6 books, 4 of which looked like I bought them from Borders. The one I was most excited about was...

I want to see this movie, so how great was it that I found the book, in new condition, for $.50? I started reading it at 10:30 and ended up finishing it at midnight. I really liked it, but I think my favorite thing about it is how it was written. You see that there are two names for the author, a man's and a woman's. The chapters take turns from being in Nick's point of view and being in Norah's point of view. Basically, the man wrote Nick's chapters, and the woman wrote Norah's. They wrote the book without a real plan for it, so Norah's writer read what Nick's wrote and responded, improvised basically. What came from it is a fun, musical, angsty, teenage adventure set in one of my favorite places, NYC.

Also? I love the cover, I think it is one of my favorite book covers, if I could find a poster of that, I would be a happy girl.

I found this pic googling. I love me some Cliffy B, but I wish I new the backstory to that caption
